Welcome
to the Nutfield Parish Council Web Site.
Nutfield Parish Council was set up in 1894 under the terms
of the Local Government Act. The Council's work involves everything from planning
applications, allotments, cemetery, overgrown footpaths to dog fouling.
The day-to-day business of the Council is carried out by the clerk Helen Corrigan
and two working groups, Environment & Planning and Village & Finance Matters.
One of the main aims of the Nutfield Parish Council is to represent the village
of Nutfield by identifying the needs and concerns of the entire village. Another
is to ensure they continue to fight the ever increasing threat of commercial
development especially on Green Belt Land.
Parish Council meetings take place at 7-30 pm on the first Wednesday of each
month, an agenda is posted on notice boards around the village. At the start
of each meeting time is allowed for members of the public to discuss any problems
they may have.
Nutfield Parish Council is one of the first Councils locally to be up to date
with a Parish Office and a Parish Web Site. At the present time all Councilors
are on e-mail which ensures there is no delay in receiving information.
